Is it just me or are we are just speeding through the winter?!! I can’t believe it’s February already! I’m not going to complain, because we are that much closer to Spring! And according to the GroundHog… Spring is on its way.
I don’t know about you, but I’m so pale beyond belief, my skin is in some serious need of extra help to make me look alive! My skin tone is a light and in the winter, it’s like a drab pale. I love bronzers in the summer, when my skin has that beautiful glow. But in the winter, bronzers are too dark for my coloring and end up looking like I had dirt smeared on my face. Even with the beauty industry marketing so many bronzers, I have yet to find the one that looks soft and natural on my face.
For the longest time I used a different approach. I bought a deep blush, that has purpose for color, tone and just gave me that warmth I was looking for. My all time favorite was Benefit Cosmetics Face Powder in Dallas.
I recently came across a gorgeous blush, and realized that can give me that same effect. CLARINS BLUSH PRODIGE Illuminating Cheek Colour.
This compact comes in a rich red velvety sleeve stamped with the CLARINS logo. Here’s a look at the packaging contents.
The top-right and bottom-left corners of the blush have a gold shimmer. Which give the most settle and natural glow appearance. While the other 2 corners are a silkly matte finish. This compact works in harmony together.
Here’s a quick swatch….
Wouldn’t you say Rosewood delivers a beautiful rosy-peach, flush color? I find this to be such a youthful looking glow and color on the cheeks.
Pigmentation is great and buildable. The lighter the hand, the softer the color. The heavier the hand, you can increase its deepness. Blending into the cheeks effortlessly, it’s a perfect match for all day wear and every skin type.

Do you skip the bronzers and just use a deeper blush to achieve the same, if not, more natural look?
